             Kinds of Gender

                 y A noun that denotes a male person or animal is of the masculine gender.
                  For example, king, prince, gander, fox.


                 y A noun that denotes a female person or animal is of the feminine gender.
                  For example, queen, princess, goose, vixen.

                 y A noun that can denote a male or a female is of the common gender.
                  For example, parent, teacher, cousin, neighbour.

                 y A noun that denotes neither a male nor a female (nonliving thing) is of the
                  neuter gender.
                  For example, book, pencil, table, stone.
