          Rewrite the story using full stops, question marks, exclamation marks,

          apostrophes, commas and inverted commas, where required. Use capital letters
          where necessary.

          once upon a time there lived a fox and a crane they were good friends one day the

          fox invited the crane to dinner the crane gladly accepted the invitation the fox served
          the crane some soup in a flat dish with his long beak the crane could hardly pick up
          anything but the fox lapped the soup up in no time the poor crane went away dejected

          sad and hungry he decided to teach the fox a lesson a few days later it was the crane’s
          turn to host a dinner for the fox he served the fox some soup in a tall jar with a narrow

          neck with his long beak the crane finished the contents of the jar and exclaimed ahhhh
          what a delicious soup but the fox could not eat anything as his mouth could not go into
          the narrow neck of the jar he realised his mistake and went home hungry
