A sentence can be divided into two parts. For example,
• Rima looked at everything in wonder.
• The man turned to look at Rima.
The highlighted part of each sentence tells us about the person who does the action in
the sentence. In these sentences, Rima and The man are doing the action.
In a sentence, the person doing the action is called the subject of the sentence.
The subject usually comes at the beginning of the sentence.
