Time to write

A narrative essay is a creative piece of writing that creates a picture in the mind of the readers. It
presents an exciting story, usually about a personal experience. The purpose of a narrative essay
is to show the importance of the experience.

A narrative essay contains a beginning, a middle and an ending. It also has a plot, characters, a
conflict, setting and climax like a short story.

You can use this graphic organiser to note down the details. Once you fill in the details, use the
              information to write the essay.

imagery in the minds of the readers

                                                             What you heard

                                                             What you felt (scared/happy/bewildered)

What you could smell (if any)

What you could taste (if any)

Problems you encountered How they were resolved

                      How it ended

What is your conclusion of the story
