15 The Sentence
Read these groups of words.
1. I have a dog.
2. under the table
3. in the car
4. I go to school.
5. I like football.
6. in the playground
Do all these groups of words make complete sense?
Some do, but some do not.
A sentence is a group of words that makes complete sense.
A sentence always begins with a capital letter and usually ends with
a full stop (.).
Every sentence must have a doing word.
A. Place a tick mark ( ) before the groups of
