                       Let us study how many words can be substituted with
                      one word.




                       y patriot – a person who loves his / her country

                       y atlas – a book of maps


                       y dozen – a group of twelve

                       y ocean – a very large body of water


                       y village – a place smaller than a town

                       y mitten – a glove covering the four fingers together and

                        a thumb separately

                       y hunter – a person who searches for something


                       y favourite – someone or something that is very special

                       y cart – a small two-wheeled vehicle drawn by an animal or a person


                       y careless – a person who does not take enough care

                       y roof – a covering on top of a building

                       y farm – a land used for growing crops or for keeping domestic animals


                       y costume – a dress worn in a play or at a fancy dress

                       y award – something that is given for doing something well


                       y bounce – to move up and down

                       y crowd – a large number of people coming together


                       y factory – a place where different things (such as pencils, pens,
                        clothes, shoes, etc.) are made
