A mouse was looking for food here and there. He looked everywhere. But he found
nothing. He sat and wept bitterly. He heard a loud noise. He got up quickly and
peeped outside. Some people were bringing food and putting it on the table. The
mouse danced happily. ‘I will eat my fill today,’ he thought.
The mouse waited patiently for the people to go. Just as he was about to step out, he
saw a big cat eating the food hungrily.
