Uses of Simple Future Tense
We use the simple future tense
1. when the decision to do something is instant. For example,
y Wait! I’ll help you carry the box.
y Shruti will pick up the packet for you.
2. to make a prediction. For example,
y It will rain tomorrow.
y This film will win the most awards.
A. These sentences are in the simple present or the simple past tense. Change them
into the simple future tense. Use the words given in the brackets.
1. I waited for Priya till six o’clock. (eight o’clock)
I shall wait for Priya till eight o’clock.
2. My cousin’s wedding took place last week. (next week)
3. We have our last practice today. (tomorrow)
4. Our teacher feels sad when we misbehave. (again)
