We use not after will to form negative sentences in the simple future form.
• It will not rain till June now.
• I will not share my cake with you.
Structure
♦ Affirmative sentences
For affirmative sentences in the simple future tense, we use the base form (infinitive)
of the verb.
subject will base form of the verb rest of the sentence
• I will meet you at the mall.
• She will write a letter to the editor.
• They will help us clear the road.
♦ Negative sentences
For negative sentences, we have the following structure.
subject will/shall not base form of verb rest of the sentence
• She will not attend school tomorrow.
• He will not arrive on time.
• They will not go to the beach tomorrow.
♦ Interrogative sentences
1. For yes/no questions, we have the following structure.
will/shall subject base form of verb rest of the sentence
• Will you watch a film this weekend?
• Will you meet me at the mall?
• Will she wait for us?
2. For wh questions, we have the following structure.
wh will subject base form of verb rest of the sentence
• When will you learn to drive?
• Where will you go for your vacation?
• What will you cook for dinner?
