                  A metaphor is a figure of speech that compares two unlikely things or ideas.
                  For example,

                  y   The assignment was a breeze (implies that the assignment was very easy).
                  y   Deepak is the apple of my eye (implies Deepak is cherished by the person who
                     is speaking).


                  A.  Now, find out the meaning of these metaphors.

                       1.  He has a heart of stone.

                       2.  The town was covered in a blanket of snow.

                       3.  Ice cream comes in a rainbow of flavours.

                       4.  I got cold feet.

                       5.  Time is money.

                       6.  This will have a domino effect.

                       7.  We are at ground zero.

                       8.  You are my sunshine.

                       9.  I want to fly like a bird.

                      10.  That sounds Greek to me.

                      11.  Her hair was bone white.

                      12.  Life is a journey.

                      13.  My brother was boiling mad.

                      14.  Life is an adventure.

                      15.  He tried to help but his legs were wax.
