Time to think and answer

Mouse says, ‘I should not have eaten so much bun. I should have shared it with
someone.’ How could sharing the bun help Mouse? Discuss in class. life skill analytical thinking

                                               Time to study language

Sometimes we talk about actions that happened before the present time. We usually
add ed with verbs to say that the actions happened before now. For example,

          • He pushed the bun from the front.

          • His stomach groaned.

          • He pulled the bun with a string.

Verbs that tell us about actions that happened in the past are said to be in the

          simple past tense.

Sometimes, verbs do not use ed to make the past form. Some change their spelling.
          For example,

          • Mouse found a big bun. (verb: find)

          • Mouse ran to his house. (verb: run)

          • Mouse went to his house again. (verb: go)

          • Mouse ate a bit of the bun. (verb: eat)
