          We use a set of punctuation marks (‘…’) to show the speaker’s actual words.
          For example,

          •  Hare said, ‘Good afternoon, Elephant!’

          •  Elephant said, ‘I am stronger than you.’


          This set of punctuation marks is known as inverted commas (‘…’).


          In each set, tick (3) the sentence that uses the inverted commas correctly.

          1.  Lucy ‘said, I am reading a novel’.
