Read each meaning and replace it with an appropriate word from the essay.

Study skills
When a subordinate clause is placed before front of a main clause, we use a comma. For example,
• If there are no dreams, there are no revolutionary thoughts.
• When you are growing up, the best role model would be your parents and teacher.
Now, read these sentences.
• I personally cherish a life with minimum of possessions, but I admire abundance.
• Dream transforms into thoughts, and thoughts result in actions.
In these sentences, two independent clauses are joined by a coordinating conjunction. Therefore,
a comma is used before the conjunctions.
Now, read the sentences add commas wherever necessary.
1. You may take my advice or you may disregard it.
2. The dog pounced on the hare but the hare managed to escape.
3. Although the play was slow the audience loved it.
4. When Bruno sneezed Kitty woke up from its slumber.
5. While watching television Suresh dozed off.
6. I love these cookies so I never share them with anyone.
