              meaning of each.

               1. a helping hand               a. someone who helps someone in need

               2. give someone a leg up        a. to help someone climb a ladder

                                               b. to help someone to improve their situation, especially at work

               3. a heart of gold              a. to be very kind and generous

                                               b. someone who is very wealthy
