Circle the things that you can count.
















                         water                    balloons                   butter                 muffins



















                        marbles                   dresses                    honey                    milk



             Some nouns can be counted. For example, five oranges, ten fingers, six buns, two spoons.

             Some nouns cannot be counted. For example, milk, cereal, tea, cheese, bread.



                        Nouns that can be counted are called countable nouns and nouns that cannot be
                        counted are called uncountable nouns.






                  Let’s Play
               Get into two groups, say Group A and Group B. One member of Group A will

               write an uncountable noun on the board.
               Then, one member of Group B will come up to the board and draw the image

               of the partitive noun that can go with that uncountable noun. The group gets a
               point if they draw correctly. The group that gets the most points wins.
