My Game
We pretend and play a game home,
When Sid calls out me
I say, ‘Here I am, brother!
Far away, and the sea!’
Or I say ‘I’m the box’
Or else, ‘Walking out the door’
‘I’m the table’
Or ‘I’m the fan.’
I say ‘I’m right here, Sid,
Here, right next the fish.
The one that is swimming
Around his dish.’
‘I could be jumping fences,
Or off a tall tree,
I could be climbing a wall,
Or playing Bruce Lee.’
I say, ‘I’m right here, Sid!
I’m hiding the door,
Someone may come in,
And see us the floor!’
