             Transformation of sentences means changing the form of a sentence without
             changing the meaning.

             We can transform a sentence in a variety of ways.

             1.  By removing the adverb too.


                 y   He is too old to run.
                    He is so old that he cannot run.


                 y   She is far too short to reach the showpiece.
                    She is so short that she cannot reach the showpiece.


                 y   The shirt is too tight for me to put on.
                    The shirt is so tight that I can’t put it on.

                 y   You are too late to catch the train.
                    You are so late that you can’t catch the train.


                 y   The man was too poor to afford a cycle.
                    The man was so poor that he couldn’t afford a cycle.


             A.  Transform these sentences by removing the adverb too.


                 1.  He is too young to take this responsibility.

                 2.  She is too nervous to attend the interview.

                 3.  They played too badly to win.

                 4.  The news is too shocking for anyone to believe.

                 5.  The problem is too difficult for us to solve.

                 6.  This tree is too high for me to climb.

                 7.  The nut is too hard for me to crack.

                 8.  The team is too weak to win the match.
