5. When the verb is a transitive verb with two objects, the predicate consists of a
verb and its objects—direct object and indirect object. For example,

y Father bought me a bike.
y We gave a bouquet of roses to our teacher.
             6. A predicate can be two or more verbs or verb phrases that may be joined by
conjunctions such as and, not only…but also, both…and, neither…nor,
                 either…or. For example,

y He came, saw and conquered.
y We ate dinner and watched a film.
