There have been many great orators through the ages. From the great Demosthenes
and Cicero of ancient times to Abraham Lincoln and Jawaharlal Nehru to Barack
Obama of the present era, there have always been great speakers. Search for some
famous speeches on the internet, read any one of them and list the most striking
features of the speech.

Write speeches based on these topics/guidelines.

1. As the Captain of your school, write a speech for Independence Day.

2. Write a speech on ‘Punctuality’ that you will deliver at the morning assembly.

3. Discipline in school is a burning issue in the present times. Write a speech on the
topic.

4. ‘Dear adults, we love and respect you a lot, but we would also like to make a few
