              of pronouns.


              Kinds of Pronouns


              Pronouns are of nine kinds. These are:

              1.  personal pronouns                     2.  demonstrative pronouns

              3.  possessive pronouns                   4.  indefinite pronouns

              5.  interrogative pronouns                6.  reflexive pronouns

              7.  reciprocal pronouns                   8.  emphatic pronouns


              9.  relative pronouns




              Let’s study more about them.


              1.  Personal Pronouns


                  A pronoun is a word which replaces a noun to avoid its unnecessary repetition.
                  Let us learn more about pronouns.
                  ♦   Person


                  Pronouns are divided into three grammatical persons.
                  They are:

                  •  First Person refers to the one(s) doing the speaking. (I, me, we, us)
                  •  Second Person refers to the one(s) spoken to, i.e. directly addressed.
                     (you)
                  •  Third Person refers to the one(s) spoken about. (he, she, it, him, her, they,
                     them.)
