11 Film Review

Here’s a sample film review of the film The Lion King (2019).

One of my favourite films is The Lion King. It’s a comedy that was made in 2019.
The plot is easy to understand: it is about a lion cub called Simba. When Simba is

born to Queen Sarabi and King Mufasa, animals in the forest rejoice at having a new
heir. But their joy is short-lived when Mufasa dies trying to save little Simba’s life.
Feeling guilty for being the cause of his father’s death, Simba runs away from the
forest. And now his evil uncle, Scar, takes over the throne.

2019’s The Lion King is a ‘live action’ remake of the 1994 original animation flick
which went on to become an iconic film for all ages. This remake not only gives an
apt tribute to its classic predecessor, it also adds to the charm and intensity of the
film. The soundtrack and background score are phenomenal—they remind one of the
              legendary music of the original.

My favourite scene is when Simba recognises Nala after a long span of separation.
The fight Nala and Simba have not only gives them recognition for each other but
also grants them self-recognition. Simba realises his identity and understands his call
              of duty.

I definitely recommend this film to one and all—its plot is gripping, its characters are
fantastic, yet relatable and the visual effects spectacular.

When you write a film review, remember:

               • Say what type of film it is: It’s a comedy.

               • Talk about the plot: It’s about a lion cub who…
               • Talk about the best scenes: My favourite scene is when Simba…

               • Give a recommendation: I definitely recommend this film…

Remember: DO NOT give away the ending of the film in your review!
