Time to write

A summary is a brief write-up of a larger work that sums up the whole story in a short
          paragraph.

These are the tips to write a good summary.

          • Find the main idea: Your summary should include all the main points or ideas in the
               story. Avoid the smaller details.

          • Keep it brief: Your summary should be concise and to the point. A summary paragraph
should be around five to eight sentences.

          • Write in in your own words: It should be written in your own words.

          • Write without judgement: Present the main ideas objectively and avoid giving your
               personal opinions.

          • Sum up: Close your summary in one sentence by restating an overview.

Now, write a summary of the story ‘Cat and Mouse in Partnership’. You may use any of
these main ideas. The graphic organiser will help you. 21 c creative writing
