Time to write

A short story is a piece of writing with imaginary characters and events, which is written or told
in order to entertain. A short story has five important elements:

• Setting: It is the location of the action.

• Characters: They are the individuals that the story is about.

• Plot: It is the sequence in which the events of the story are arranged. A plot should have a
very clear beginning, middle, and end.

• Conflict: Every story has a conflict to solve. The plot is centred on this conflict and the
ways in which the characters attempt to resolve the problem. When the action of the
story becomes most exciting, it is called the climax.

• Resolution: It is the end of the story. It focuses on how the conflict is resolved.

Now, write a short story beginning with the given characters and setting.
