Subject: Engaging Students in Discovering Forgotten Historical Events
Madam
This is with reference to the get-together organised by the Grand Treasury
Museum Tourist Club for the 128th anniversary of the ‘Vijli’. It was informative
due to the bonfire story-telling sessions by the locals. I
would like to such events organised by museums as a means to
engage students in discovering forgotten historical events.
This could be done through events like . Other events like
musical puppet-shows, screening short films, tours and excursions, interviews and
chat shows, etc. .
Such events, help students experience history in . This helps
in making the subject less monotonous and the students
rather than memorising them.
I hope that the publishing of this letter in the columns of your esteemed daily
and brings about the necessary changes.
Thanking you
Yours truly
