Time to write

Informal letters are the ones that we write to friends and relatives. They are informal because
we are communicating with people whom we know very well. The style of writing can be free
and conversational, as if we were speaking to them and they were sitting right in front of us.

Here is the format of an informal letter.

Dear Rakesh salutation

Thank you very much for your letter. It was wonderful to

hear from you. I am very happy to know that you will be
visiting us during the Christmas holidays. My school will

be closing at about the same time as yours. We can have

Daddy is already planning Christmas and New Year parties. the letter

He has planned to take us for a couple of picnics. He also has
a surprise for us, he says. I wonder what it is!

Let me know the exact date of your arrival. We shall be at the
station to receive you.

I hope you are well. Please give my regards to your parents.
