Let’s study grammar

A phrase is a group of words that makes some sense on its own, within a
sentence. It adds some information to the sentence. A phrase does not have

a subject or a verb. For example,
€ Sanjeev ran out into the garden.

€ Sanjeev ran along the path to his favourite part of the garden.

€ A group of words that convey some meaning but not complete sense is
called a clause. A clause contains a subject and a verb. For example,

€ A pang of guilt ran through Sanjeev that evening as he passed by
                              Naani’s corner.

                              taxi.
