• In a narrative essay, the writer tells a story about a certain event that happened
in his/her life, such as watching a magic show or going to a theatre. It is usually
written in the first person and the writer expresses their personal attitude towards
things that affected them, places that they liked or people they were with.

Guidelines for writing a narrative essay:

             • The narrative essay makes a point and that point is often defined in the opening
sentence, but can also be found as the last sentence in the opening paragraph.
             • Use first-person narrative.
             • A narrative requires all the parts of a story—characters, plot, setting, climax
                 and ending.
             • It is told from the writer’s point of view, so use of specific and sensory details will
help you catch the reader’s attention.

             • It should have details that are carefully selected to explain, support, or embellish
                 the story.
             • You may use dialogues.

Now, write narrative essays on these topics.
